Hi, Rusty!
Yes, "Tomorrow is another day"!
I did not know anything about the puzzle having been created for an American Crossword convention?
"Busboy" and "durum" are both new words to me.
At least I am not alone in being unable to parse "nanograms"....!
I do wonder why it is plural?
Yes, I had "out of door", too, for 6d.......an anagram of "foot odour".
Like you, I have only come across the words "outdoors" and "indoors" before.
Was it this last weekend that your son and daughter-in -law went to Orlando?
I am getting confused with my dates......

Hello Elle and Rusty

Tomorrow will see your path completed Elle - I hope! It has been
a lot of fuss about little really - so easy to stay and finish the job
in the first instance!

Re nanograms

could it be NAN +0 (zero) gram + S plural for nanS for elderly
relatives

Nanogram = one thousand-millonth of a gram ! (according to
Google)

PS 'dressed' would indicate that 'ogram' is inside 'nans'

Hello, Elle!
The American convention info was written at the top of the page, online.
I do not know if it was in the paper.
"Busboy" is in Anne B's book under "waiter".
I think "nanograms" is a bit mediocre.
This is a wild guess!
But, nanogram is an incredibly tiny weight.
And a few of them would still be an incredibly tiny weight, even as plurals?
Son and wife leave on Friday.
My other son and wife are in London for a few days.
They were at "Les Miserables" last night and thought it brilliant!

Hi, Rusty!
I wouldn't know whether the Convention was mentioned in the paper, Rusty........John only sends me the grids and clues.
Just the "bare necessities " as it were........
Isn't that a song in "Jungle Book"?
Ah, it is next weekend your younger son goes to Florida..... you and Misses O and L-B should have a great time together!
I wonder who will lead whom astray.......!
Whereabouts in London is your other son and his wife staying?
I've never seen "Les Miserables", but I was once given the book as a school prize!
(I think it was probably the only prize I ever got!)

Hello, Pigale!
I think the nanograms one an odd clue?
Thank you for your input.
I hope you are feeling recovered now from your "sniffle"?

Hello Elle,

I am fully recovered thank you - it did not develop into anything
really - just the chill caught the night before.
You are still lucky with your weather and so is my friend in Cumbria-
Here, we are more like a very mild November with fog, drizzle and
generally miserable! still, due to get better!

Yes, that clue is strange, because I can't understand the
'messenger'bit if nanogram is a weight measure - and only that
(I mean no second meaning as far as I know)
Not to worry!

Good morning, Elle!
Looks fine outside!
Bring on the Thames Water lads!
I do not know where my son is staying.
Probably a hotel, I think.
I have had a look online at today's puzzle and it is an old one from 1977!
There is a championship qualifier puzzle, too, but that has to be downloaded, which is no good to me!
It will be in the paper though.

Good morning, Pigale!
I think "nanogram" is a play on words, of "kissogram" or "stripogram", which are messengers delivering birthday greetings etc.
That is only my opinion though!

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
A somewhat wet walk with the dog this morning.......although we were not forecast rain!
I am not holding out much hope from TW..........
( I prefer to take the pessimistic viewpoint in the hope that one day I might be pleasantly surprised! )
I have not received either version of the 15 x 15 crossword today.........John has only sent me the Times QC and the Times2 (I don't do the latter)
There is no explanation from him as to why this is!
Not to worry...I have a long list of jobs to occupy me.......
What's happening at your end?

Hello, Elle!
No sign of the Water lads?
Hope they turn up!
It is a championship qualifier puzzle in the paper today.
Quite a good one!
Much better than the 1977 one that is online.
In one clue I was expected to know the missing word from a line of a poem by Tennyson.
No clue or anything. Nothing cryptic about it.
You either know it, or you don't.
The modern puzzles are very much better!

Hi, Rusty!
No sign as yet, Rusty!
I have tried phoning, but am placed eighth in a queue.......it is freephone, so I have just left the receiver off the hook, and am checking my progress from time to time.....
It took fifty minutes to reach someone yesterday........
And even longer to get hold of anyone in authority!
I am assuming the queue is composed of disgruntled customers...!
On the plus side- yes, there is one...the rain has stopped!
