A very good morning to you, Rusty!
We have a beautiful day here.
It is a tad warmer at 6C, with blue skies and bright sunshine!
A great morning for a brisk walk!
I have looked in on Lassie...still by herself......but busily organising the nest.
Hopefully, Laddie will join her soon.
How are things up your way?
Anything planned for the day?

Ros
I missed your post where you said you had seen a Red Kite . Wow!
Are they common where you live ?
The last time I saw some was many years ago in Wales (genealogy research for Welsh ancestry of my husband)
We stayed with a friend in Llwyn-y-groes and he drove us to the Brecon Beacons. The film in my camera was not wound securely and the whole film came out blank :(

Hi, Rusty!
I hope all is okay with you and yours ?
You don't seem to have been around today?
Mind you, nor have I since late morning........
Firstly, my computer has been playing up off and on......and then I have been out all the afternoon.
It is glorious here......Spring has definitely Sprung!

Hello, Pigale!
I will take the opportunity to write whilst my computer is behaving itself......
I've just looked up the barn owls...both are there in the nesting box....no eggs yet though?

Good evening, Elle!
I have had a busyish day today!
Hope your computer is behaving!
Been a bit cloudy here today!
That's good you have fine Spring weather!
Just saw that EJ has landed at Loch Garten!
She is looking well.
Let's hope she has better luck than last year.

Hi, Rusty!
My computer is still a bit iffy...it keeps closing down programmes......I think it really needs an overhaul!
Our daughter has promised to take a look....but she has been extremely busy juggling work and family.
Maybe she will find time for it this coming weekend.......
It is good that EJ has returned.
Was Odin's "disappearance" ever put down to anything in particular?
Do you think he died...or is there a vague chance that he might return this year?

Hello JG
Red Kites are far too common round here, I live near where they were reintroduced and now there are no kestrels.....
One time I saw 8 together! I can often see them from where I am now.
I did once (about 40 years ago!) go to a very remote Welsh Valley to look for them, but didn't find one. Now I see them every day

I wasn't aware.
There are pairs of kestrels breeding in both our nearby parks, but no kites !

Hello, Elle!
I am afraid I have no advice to give regarding your computer.
Just a bit too complicated for me.
One reason I got this Chromebook is that they are so much simpler to use (for me) than a conventional machine.
And much quicker....and cheaper.
But, that is just me, others may use their computers for many other uses.
I have an idea that the rangers at Loch Garten thought that Odin may have been killed by another male osprey.
They may have seen intruders in the locality.
But I do not know.
It is not unusual for golden eagles to be killed up here.
Often poisoned if they go near grouse moors.
Anyway this is EJ's 15th breeding season, they say, so she has done very well!

Hello, Elle!
My memory is not too bad.
I'll reward myself with a sticky bun!
