Hello all
The RSPB are reporting several ospreys in Northern France heading for UK. Several ospreys have landed elsewhere in England. .Today they thought the one landed at Aberdour might, just might, be Laddie. But no dedinite ID

The osprey webcam is a recorded video 21 mins. from 16th March.
No tweets from LOTL today as yet

....finding it difficult to type on mobile, , sorry

The nest has not the same shape as what was shown two or three
days ago, plus all the snow can't have melted yet!

Have you done the Times today?

is 11A Smetana ? but does run into = met ( suppose it does in past participle). Why not "ran Into" which parses and reads better?

Why on earth are they showing recordings of an empty nest?
Makes no kind of sense to me.

You know Rusty, I think this is a recording from the end of last
year's season, ie when the chicks and Laddie had left, because
if you look well, you will see the deep, hollow shape of the nest,
hollow enough for the eggs and later the chicks.
It could date back from September/October, whenever they left.

And also they changed the picture/recording, before they were
showing some recording made on 16th March this year - as
JG and myself have mentioned - different shape.

Yes, the weather is improving rapidly......although I am told we are to have a very heavy frost tonight.
And, yes, the dog is indeed delighted to be home!
And she is fully aware that, having been bathed and trimmed, she looks very smart!

Why should old videos be being shown?
Is it a 'con' to allay fears that the webcam might not be fixed in time?
I hope that Laddie arrives safely...but not too soon before the webcam is indeed fixed!
How far will Miss ATW have got by now?
My sense of Geography is so poor, I am unaware of her (likely) route?

Sorry for the delay.... I have been out and have only just seen your post now.
Yes, 11a: Smetana = composer (def)
met - run into
San - hospital
a -area

I think the import here is "the composer (was) run into...." as in " the composer (was) met......"
One couldn't say " the composer was RAN into"
I may have this wrong...but that is my reading.
