Hi, Rusty!
I hope your son has a good flight, and a safe drive back from Edinburgh.
Are your roads icy?
We have a minimum temperature of minus 1, apparently, tonight.......but it is not predicted to rise above 1C tomorrow!
So very cold.
The first mention of snow is now on Thursday.
But we shall see.
Yes, I was drawn to watch Evelyn again this morning!
And you would never guess at her age just from listening to her singing , would you?
Age does not come across in her singing voice.
I am glad that you have the AnswerBank ID sorted - you had sounded concerned.

Hello Pigale!
I don't think that I have seen that film?
I have since looked it up...and the plot isn't ringing any bells.
I liked the Doris Day romantic comedies.
I am thinking I must have heard about the existence of the film, when the song became well known.

Thank you for the explanation, Jazzgirl..... it mattered not to me personally though, as I am not a member of AnswerBank.
I'd just picked up on Rusty's concern.
I'm happy with just being on this Forum...AnswerBank does not appeal to me.

Hello, Elle!
Aeroplane is descending as it approaches Edinburgh.
Should land at 22.20.
No, our roads are fine and dry.
Evelyn has a nice voice, but it was the way she spoke about her late husband and her family and just the way she came across that appealed to me.
I thought she was a smasher!
A lovely, lovely, lady!
She's from Tallaght, Dublin.
Yes, Norah kindly deleted the link, so that's fine.

I take it you all know the origin of "send in the clowns?"

Hello, Elle!
The aeroplane has landed!
So, that's fine!
Now, last night, Evelyn almost brought a tear to my eye.
And tonight, this act definitely did.
Oh, they won't win, but I thought they were just super! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JDab6imFLI

Must see if ASDA sells tissues!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh that's good!
Thank you for letting me know that your son and daughter-in-law have landed safely!
It is always a relief, isn't it, to know that someone is back on terra firma?
And I have a bad fear of heights......
I hate flying.....
I expect you will be getting a text from them before you go to bed.
Wow, that was indeed a beautiful act.....
But I felt more emotional listening to Evelyn's talking, and then singing, didn't you?

Yes, Ros, Stephen Sonheim wrote "Send in the Clowns" for Glynis Johns (I liked her) when she was playing "Desiree" in "A Little Night Music"

Good about your family's safe return home Rusty.

Hello, Elle!
No, I don't think I will hear from them until tomorrow.
But, who knows!
Yes, Evelyn is the real deal, and as we would say, "has the craic!".
I was wanting to hear a bit more about how she cooked the cabbage that her great grandchildren loved!
You just do not expect stories like that on the "Talent" shows!
I agree with Lucy Kennedy, Evelyn should have her own show!
However, I thought the deaf girls were great, and they tugged at my heartstrings.
Up on a stage doing their very bestest to perform, and they certainly did that, and great credit to their choirmistress, too!
Oh no, they won't win (there is a super young lad on with a wonderful voice, and Evelyn, of course) but their families must be immensely proud of them and rightly so!

Goodness, Pigale!
That young lady has got lungs!
She is a little star in the making!
Is that from the current series I wonder?
I did not see "the Hoff" as one of the judges?

Angelina Hale was runner up in last year's AGT, with Darcy Lynn being
the winner - two youngsters whom we like.

What I don't know is whether this was the 'junior AGT' or the general one;
