Yes, I am not a Tennis fan, but even I, on hearing the name
Judy Murray would have clicked it was Andy Murray's mother, because
she has often been referred to during tennis season.

What made me google the story up to see what I could find is
precisely because I thought the reference to 'tea bags' was so
wierd!

Hello, Pigale!
And Maria said she loves tea!
So, you would think she would have heard of a tea bag?
An odd tale!

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness me!
Where has this man been over the last six months.......?
One only has to Google "EuroPlayer" to find long lists of complaints about their bad service!
For an entire three months, the EP service was more or less non - functioning!
I have a feeling he has been paid/ bribed by a free subscription? / to produce such a "glowing" testimony!
In theory, yes, that is how the service should work.........
However, in actuality.....!
Thanks for the details about the BBC Highlights coverage-- yes, this is apparently happening from the 20th.
I shall make a point of following that.
I think there will also be coverage on BBC iPlayer , which I can watch on my desk top.
Are you going to find another contestant to support now that Sloane has so ignominiously departed?

Good evening, Elle!
His experience is unlike yours!
There were hundreds of complaints about it.
Hope they get their act together before the Winter Olympics!
I quite like Caroline Wozniacki, but I am not all that bothered.
An unheralded champion would be nice.
I think Madison Keys is still in.
Hope Federer wins the men's title (without wearing pink!)
The puzzle was on the easy side today.

Hi, Rusty!
I think GarbiƱe Muguruza is in with a good chance in the Ladies' Championship.
But I do not have strong feelings in any particular direction
I of course hope that Roger will win in the Men's tournament!
Although I should be reasonably pleased with a Nadal victory.
Yes, I liked the 15 x 15 puzzle today.
I could do all bar two - these overlapped which did not help me.
21a: Sailor comprehending what ocean is, turning dial (6)
S?E???
16d: One with a tale to tell finished interrupting queen (8)
?A???N?R
I'm stuck.......
I especially liked 12d: Clever clogs , and 19d: magnum
I couldn't see why in 20a, the clue said "losing poundS"?
Why was it plural- there was only need to lose one "l"?
The QC was very straightforward but rather a nice one.

Hello, Chris!
Thank you for the hint........
I've got it....... The Canterbury Tales.......the Pardoner!
I should have seen that!

pardoner = one with a tale to tell (def)
Parr - queen (Catherine Parr)
done - finished

Hello, Elle!
Are there any Aussie women in it?
None spring to mind?
Yes, a good puzzle today.
I liked it.
21, The ocean is "deep" and a sailor is an "ordinary seaman"/OS.
Reverse "deep" and enclose it with OS,
and you have "speedo" for a dial, usually in a motor.
16, At times when you see about someone telling a tale it can be from the Canterbury Tales.
I know little about them, just the odd name, but "Parr" is the queen, and "done" is finished, giving "Pardoner".
There was a Pardoner in the Tales, I believe.
I suppose in L.S.D, the "l" could represent several pounds?
I am sad to hear of the death of Dolores O'Riordan this evening.
I liked her.

Hi, Rusty!
The only female Australian player that I can think of is Sam Stosur........and she was beaten in the first round today by Monica Puig.
There surely must be others but I cannot bring any names to mind?
In fact, the only male Aussie players that I can think of are Nick Kyrgios and Matthhew Ebden....there must be other lesser known names.
Kyrgios has been in trouble (yet again) for bad language and rudeness on the court.
This is totally unnecessary and very bad form , I think.
Thank you for the help with the errant xword clues!
I would never have thought of "speedo"
"Pardoner" is a good one!
And I'm still not happy about the "pounds"!
There are two "ls" in "chilly" and it sis only necessary to lose one of them?
I saw about the death of Dolores O'Riordan on the television news.
But I did not know who she was?
Very young to die....she was only 46.
How is your "tickle"?
Do you still think you are getting another bug?
