Hello, Elle!
Jamie and Martina are a good pairing.
I like them!
I do not think they have lost a match since they teamed up?
I have to go out tomorrow with Miss O!
She has insisted!
I should get a season ticket at Pine Cone!
What is the length of the Great North Run?
Will there be Kenyans tackling Mo?
I remember Liz McColgan doing it.
Possibly Paula?

Hi, Rusty!
You are indeed fortunate, having such delightful granddaughters who insist on spending time with you!
You will enjoy your outing with Miss O!
Now, the Great North Run is a half marathon ...so I think the distance is 13.1 miles?
But I do not know which athletes will be competing other than Mo......I should think, yes, there will be some big Kenyan names?
There are usually quite a number of celebrities , too?
And of course, there will be thousands of people running to support their personal charities.
It is a very large well publicised event.
I think we are meeting up with family in the afternoon, so I should be able to see some of the Great North Run kick off in the morning.
It starts at 9 30am, I believe?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, Miss O and me are great pals!
I am looking forward to her collecting me!
I hope to see a bit of the Run, too.
I like these big runs!
Going out at 10.30.
Sloane Stephens has won the first set in the women's final.
Hope she wins!
Another of my favourites, Lexi Thompson, has just won the golf!

Hi, Rusty!
I have heard that Rafa Nadal has beaten Juan Martin Del Potro.
I think Del Porto was very tired; he had two very taxing previous matches.
Rafa will now play Kevin Anderson in the final.
They have known each other since they were children.
Grrh.......all this tennis that I am missing......
E.P has a lot for which to answer!
I wonder will I get a reply to my letter of complaint?
My next move will be to email the CEO!
Although I am not holding out any hope of recompense.
Lexi did well!
Did you have a bet?

We crossed, Rusty!
See my post below!
Well done, Sloane!
It was an easy match? a win in two straight sets?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, we crossed!
You have to be nimble witted on here!
No bets on at all.
Lexi was a strong favourite and I like Lydia too, but I was tempted to bet on Sloane, but did not.
She was second favourite to Madison Keys.
Good to see a new champion, too.

Info, Elle,
You can watch the first set of Stephens v Keys on YouTube now.
They will likely have the second set up shortly.
The two girls are great friends.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a bright sunny day here!
How about with you?
I am planning my morning around the Everyman crossword and the Great North Run.....and the tennis on YouTube....thank you for that!
I think we are meeting up with our daughter and family early this afternoon.
I am not sure yet whether their plan is to come here or meet up halfway in a park.
I am sure the dog would vote for the latter!
Now....did you have a cloud free night and were able to see the "Lights"?

Good morning, Elle!
A bit dreich here!
No "Lights" here, too cloudy.
I would have to drive out a mile or two into the country to see them.
Has to be really dark.
I am going to Pine Cone soon!
I hope you have a nice time with your family!
Enjoy the tennis.
For me, Sloane Stephens has the "nicest smile" in tennis!
She was out for nearly a year with a foot injury and fell away down the rankings.
In my view, it is for people like her that the "wild cards" should be used for, not the Sharapovas of this world!
Rant over!
Did you know that a "singing hinny" was a currant cake?
I just found out!
