Hello, Elle!
Thank you for your kind words about Miss La Bamba!
She has a lovely nature, too.
Her and Miss O are very alike, though Miss O is darker haired.
And Miss O has a bigger grin!
Miss O'Hara is a one-off!
The others are very alike, including my grandson.
I feel incredibly lucky having all these fine young ones.
I must have done something right, at some time!
I thing Mum and Gran stayed in the background.
They are both very attractive ladies!
Goodness knows where Miss O got to.
I have not heard from her today.
Her little sister has taken the limelight!
Hope the cat keeps on the mend!

Hi, Rusty!
I think being a good dad, and bringing up your sons by yourself, has had its just rewards!
You are now blessed with five great grandkids!
( Have I counted them all?)
You deserve to enjoy them!
Cat doing okay, but still got a raised temperature!
It is agreed he will remain in the hospital, until his temp has gone down.......he is having injections.
He took a walk, and hissed at the cat "next door"!
Same procedure......I am to ring Karin in the morning!
Curry now for dinner......

Hello, Elle!
I think the cat hissing is a good sign.
You will just have to be patient with your cat's treatment.
Rafa Nadal has just won his match.
Still fine weather in New York.
I have been reading about Stacy Lewis who won the women's golf in the US at the weekend.
She has donated the first prize, around $185,000, to the Houston relief fund.
Well done, Stacy!
Stacy is one of the "good guys" on the golf circuit.

Hey, Rusty!
That was a generous gesture of the golfer to donate her prize money to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Maybe more people will follow suit?
It was quite amusing at the vets...... there is rather a mixed bunch of "patients" in the hospital section.........
Dogs , cats..... and a solitary bird!
The bird was quite unperturbed by the presence of the other animals , and happily strutted about his cage, chirping and giving all the evil eye!
One cat had a warning notice on his cage.......saying "I am Grouchy"!
My own cat is obviously all set to make a bid for freedom!
As soon as his cage door is opened, he is ready for off....fortunately he cannot get very far as he is "tethered" by his drip line!
( I didn't take him a cake with a file hidden inside......)
Right, I shall watch "Eggheads", which I hopefully recorded earlier.....

Hello, Elle!
Well, the men are on the home stretch of their tournament, let's see if they can do what Stacy did.
Jordan Spieth is leading, and he is a Texan, and also a fine young man, so fingers crossed he does!
Jordan is one of my favourites.
Stacy grew up just outside Houston and pledged her winnings last Wednesday, if she was in the prize money over the weekend.
So, Stacy won her first tournament in three years yesterday!
She lives near Houston and her husband teaches at Houston Uni.
The reason I like Stacy, is, she is the double of Emma Pooley, one of my favourite cyclists!
Your cat certainly seems to be on the mend!

Update, Elle,
Just watched Stacy's interview.
There was almost a tear, I think!
One of her sponsors, KPMG, are matching her winnings and donating it to the Houston Relief Fund.
Another of her sponsors, Marathon Petroleum, are adding one million dollars to her contribution.

Good morning, Rusty!
It is chilly and drizzly this morning!
We had a good brisk walk - much the type I prefer! - the previous humidity was causing us all to drag our feet!
We are really on a rollercoaster with our temperatures!
What a fantastic response by Stacey's two sets of sponsors!
All the more kudos to her for instigating the donations.
Now that a precedent has been set, perhaps more gifts of money will follow for the hurricane relief......
What do you have planned for today?

Good morning, Elle!
A bit dreich here.
"Oh, if I could only see,
that familiar sunrise,
through sleepy eyes,
how happy I'd be."
But no sun today!
Yes, Stacy and co have done very well.
Justin Thomas has won the men's event but not heard of any donations so far!
I have been to ASDA, Tesco, and Curry's looking at cyclinder vacuum cleaners.
There is a dearth of them on the shelves.
So! I am going to look at the Which opinions, then mail order one.
I saw some crackers, made by Miele, in Curry's, but the prices were astonishingly high.
Up around £400!
Any news from the vet?

Hi, Rusty!
Where is your quotation from?
It sounds familiar?
Part of a song?
Well, I can be of no help regarding cylinder vacuum cleaners!
I find them incredibly hard work to use (we have had various ones at holiday properties) .
I much prefer the "upright" vacuum cleaner which I can "push", rather than one that I have to "drag"!
I find it so much easier to manage.
"Which" should see you right, though!
I have just spoken to the vet.
They are a tad concerned this morning as the cat's temperature has gone up even further.....he is now having intravenous antibiotics again (he was on injections)
And he is being given liver support supplements, whilst still waiting on the biopsy results.
We shall visit this afternoon.
It is all very worrying.......
Still raining here!

Hello, Elle!
"Blue Bayou"!
I may get an upright machine.
Not decided yet.
I am not sure if I am still a member of Which.
I paid £1 for a trial membership but it may have run out.
Yes, your cat is a concern for you.
Hope things turn out OK.
My rain has stopped I am pleased to say!
