Hi, Rusty!
No, no pictures on EuroSport Player!
I cannot even log in to my account!
There has been no further response from their Customer Care.
They are saying that there is such an influx of problems that it will take 72 hours to get back to me.
I am not impressed!
My son - in -law is back at school tomorrow... I think the sixth-form students return slightly later in the week.
So my daughter has taken a few days off work , as BB doesn't go back to his school till Tuesday week.
Generally, though, it works out well having a dad for a teacher.
No problems with child care in the school holidays!
How is Miss O getting on at school?
She must be feeling settled in by now?

Hello, Elle!
That is very poor by EuroSport!
Great pictures from America, too.
Miss O is getting on great, she tells me.
She said she has some great classes.
She gets on with everyone, anyway.
She "grins" her way through life!

Good morning, Rusty!
We have another nice day......fortunately a tad fresher than yesterday.
I haven't been out with the dog this morning as I wanted to contact the vets early on, and arrange to take the cat along for a check up this morning.
I already have an appointment at 11am with our usual vet for the dog to have her booster vaccination, so will now take the two of them together.
Pets are a worry!
They are worse than children, really, as one cannot ask them where it hurts!
A pity about Jo's being beaten....thank you for the updates
Still barren on the Eurosport front!

Good morning, Elle!
Dull here!
Yes, your pets are priority today.
I was about earlier today and have finished my puzzle!
New words and meanings to me.
Never knew a "burden" was part of a song!
Heading off to ASDA now!

Hi, Rusty!
Just back from the vets....
We left the cat there.
His heart beat is fine and on physically examining him, the vet can feel no lumps anywhere, so hopefully no tumours.
He has a slight fever and is going to have various blood tests done,
The vet has kept him there, in case he needs further tests once she has the results of the screens.
He possibly may need to go on a drip..
I am to phone her at 3.30 pm for a progress report.
Fingers crossed it is nothing too serious.
I need a coffee and some sustenance .....and I'll look at the crossword.......

Hello, Elle!
Well done on your care of your cat!
I did not know cats could go on a drip!
Hope he will be fine.
It's a good puzzle today...I'm sure you shall like it!

Hi, Rusty!
Hi, Rusty!
We are well used to cats being put on drips!
One of our previous cats was treated this way regularly to help with her renal disease.
She would ever so often be put on a drip for 24/48 hours.
The drip would replace her fluid levels and adjust her electrolytes, and flush out any impurities.
She was right as rain afterwards!
But we shall see what has to be done in this instance.......
I need to phone in about 45 minutes.......
I have done my puzzle!
It is all finished and, I think, parsed correctly......
I didn't know that "hurst" is "wood"!
Nor did I know that "Archangel" is a port!
So I have learned something new today!

Hello, Elle!

You appear to have a very good vet!
I knew "hurst" but not know "disodium" (not in my Chambers), or "agami".
I wondered if you would know "Uhlan"?
I knew "Archangel"!
I used to work with a lad who served in the Royal Navy during the war and he told me quite a bit about being on the Russian convoys to Archangel and Murmansk.
It was "dreadful" he said, especially the cold.
My favourites were 6d, 28a, and especially 29a!

Update, Rusty!
I have just spoken to the vet and the prognosis is not looking good for my cat......
The blood tests show that his liver and pancreas are inflamed.
His results (especially the ALT) are way above the normal.
The vet has no idea at present what has caused the hepatitis and pancreatitis, but has put him on an antibiotic drip, and will do an Xray and Ultrasound scan in the morning.
Possibly he has a tumour in his liver? or some degenerative liver tissue?
We are going to see him at 5 pm when visiting the patient is allowed, and will have a further word with the vet then.
The vet sounded as gob-smacked as I am...neither of us expected this.......
