Hello, Elle!
I am watching the Solheim Cup.
It is quite difficult for me trying to cheer Europe, when I know the USA ladies better! So I end up cheering Lexi and co, as well as Charley Hull and team!
At least there are no South Koreans to confuse me even more!
Yes, my new buggy is fine.
I was looking for a wee lever/catch sort of thing in the front to open the petrol cap flap, but it is much simpler than that.
If the car is "unlocked", so is the petrol cap!
Yes, it's high and beyond time the courtesy car arrived.
Did you tell her to watch out for lorries?
Miss O has just texted to tell me she is fitting in well at school, and has lots of "lovely classes"!

Hi, Rusty!
Daughter arrived about 6.45 so we have been rapidly catching up on all the news first hand!
She says that the Courtesy Car people apparently "forgot" to deliver the car earlier, until reminded.
I don't think this is good enough? especially considering the cost of Insurance these days?
We broke down once in a supermarket car park whilst on holiday...and the replacement car was brought to us straightaway.....right "on the spot"!
Your new "buggy", as you term it, sounds great.....I have no idea how we access our petrol tank!
Miss O seems to have settled in well at her school.
I have forgotten what subject(s) she is teaching?
Presumably some branch of Science as her degree is in Forensic Science?
(that is, if I've remembered that correctly?)
How is your golf going?

Hello, Elle!
"Forgetting" to deliver a courtesy car is not remotely good enough!
What if she was stranded somewhere?
And her break with you was ruined, and I am sure it would be stressful for her, as well as dashed inconvenient!
Yes, car insurance is expensive but we need it, and one of the reasons we need it, is because many drivers (like your daughter) must have a car to hand, and pay a bit more for a courtesy car clause to be included in the policy.
I think it would be a good idea for her to raise the matter with them.
Maybe get discount or something like that, if that were acceptable to your daughter?
Yes, Miss O has settled in well.
She has a nature that gets on with everyone.
She goes around with a permanent grin on her face!
She is teaching science.
She is busy this weekend and won't see me, but her sister Miss La Bamba is going for a bacon roll with me tomorrow.
Golf is going well, Europe are one up, but a long way to go (Sunday).
Very partisan crowds in Iowa!

Hi, Rusty!
The boys were in bed over an hour ago, and we adults have just finished a somewhat later than usual dinner!
We are now about to relax over coffee!
Yes, I totally agree with you about the courtesy car, and if it were down to me, heads would be rolling... and I would ensure that I received some form of compensation!
My (elder) daughter, though, does not have my more combative nature!
I am always polite, but firm, and fully believe in standing up for my "rights"!
I shall mention the matter again "subtlely"!
Speaking of bacon rolls.......I had one for my lunch in the cafe at the Garden Centre!
Are you and Miss L-B going to the Pine Cone in your new car?
(Then you can show it off!)

Hello, Elle!
At the very least, your daughter has a great bargaining chip at insurance renewal time.
She has been let down by her insurance company "and why should I remain with you bunch of incompetents, after you let me down so badly?", may be a strategic ploy?
She may want to put it behind her though, Elle, so careful not to spoil her weekend.
That's my tuppenceworth!
Miss La Bamba is the boss when we go out, so I think she will take her own car, but she may want to go in mine.
She drives a very nice wee Citroen.
We shall see.
She is also the best driver of all the young ones.
The Yanks are playing a bit better at the golf, now!

Good morning, Rusty!
I have been up for ages as usual!
The boys, the dog and cat and myself, are long breakfasted.......but my husband and daughter are still asleep!
We are having a respite from board games for half an hour.........
The boys are playing on their tablets and I am awaiting John's sending of the crosswords.
He is late this morning.........
What time is Miss L-B coming ?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine morning with a hint of Autumn in the air!
Miss La Bamba likes a long lie at the weekend and will be here at 11.
Your daughter has had a stressful week...let her lie!
I have been to shop for my paper.
The Yanks have a good lead in the Solheim cup!
Europe will have to buck up their game, methinks!
The Tour of Spain starts today....in France...at Nimes!
I have had a glance at the puzzle.
Do not think it will be easy!

Hi, Rusty!
Hopefully, I shall catch you before Miss L-B arrives to whisk you off!
Yes, a tad chilly here, too!
Although I haven't as yet been further than the garden.
Everyone is up now, though, so we shall be heading out soon.
I have 'finished' today's crossword , barring four parsings.
I did have a couple of blockages on the way.....but got there in the end!
Not quite as easy as Saturday's puzzle usually is?
You will be busy with both golf and cycling to watch!
And don't forget that the Athletics Birmingham Grand Prix is tomorrow!

Hello, Elle!
Was with Misses O and La Bamba to Pine Cone.
They approve of the new buggy!
I have finished the puzzle, too.
A good one.
There are one or two of the parses not quite solved to my satisfaction.
One you may know, as it may be London related!
Not looked at any sport yet. Just home!

Hi, Rusty!
We are home, too, now!
We have been out for a walk with the dog.
Daughter and grandsons are on their way back home .......hopefully, without mishap!
They have strict instructions to text just as soon as they arrive.
I am glad that the "buggy" got the girls' seal of approval!
Did you all go out in it?
Which clue is it that you are querying?
I may be able to help, unless it happens to be one of the four that have me stumped!
I have the answers, just not the means to getting there!
I am persevering .......
And I still have the Jumbo GK to do.
Goodness, it is quiet here.......we shall miss them all!
