Vuelta team time trial today. They haven't had one in the TdF for some time - anti Team Sky policy?

Hello, Elle!
Your daughter sounds sensible, I am sure she shall text to let you know of their safe arrival.
Yes, all out in the buggy.
Girls are impressed!
I think my parses are OK, now.
For 13a, I am now presuming that "disk" is the letter "o".
If so, all's well.
My main perturbance now is, 4d.
I have "swine" for the answer with "ne" for Newcastle area, the North East.
So, that leaves a parse for Victoria being "swi".
I was thinking OZ for a while, but I know there is a Victoria Station in London. Is there a district in SW1 called Victoria, d'you know, or am I back at the drawing board?
The clue has "areas", plural, so is that SW1 + NE?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, to both those queries!
For 13 a: I have "notebook" = "thin computer" (def)
o - disk
bet (reversed ) - lay
and for 4d; yes, Swine= coarse people (def)
SW1 for Victoria, London
NE for Newcastle.

I am still stuck on parsing 20a: I have "engineer" = " plot" , but cannot parse further?
and for 12D: "participate" = "to share"
but stuck on the parsing?
Where am I going wrong?

Hello, Elle!
Fair enough, Newcastle is North East, but I do think I should be expected to know Victoria is SW1.
20,A,
On =re.
heading off kindly = (b)enign
English = E
Reverse it for "engineer".
12, the lorry is an "artic"ulated.
Annoyance is get the "pip"
Annoying = ate.
Participate.
Lovely afternoon here!

Hi, Rusty!
And you know all about St. James' Park - and the various "Jameses" .........Great (er) and Less (er).....
And the Tower of London!
Btw, Wimbledon is SW19 and the Tower of London is EC3!
( And you've heard of Bromley! )
Thank you for explaining those parsings so clearly.
Yes, I do understand now...but I must admit that if I'd tried "till the cows come home", I would never have got either of them!
A beautiful afternoon here, too!
But it's been a mite chilly today.

Don't worry, Rusty, I knew what you meant, in your later reference to Victoria!
I realised that you had omitted the "not" when typing!
I 'read' it as you intended it, not as you'd written it!
(But in any case, you knew that there was a railway station so called)
My daughter has just phoned to say they are back home!
The journey took four hours as the traffic was so bad!
Still, the main thing is that they all arrived safely!

Hi, Rusty!
How was your walk?
How far did you venture?
I have just taken a look at the Osprey site.......and there is ONE bird in the nest!
I do not know which one though?
But I am thinking from its size that it might well be Laddie?
I'm assuming he is still bigger than the two chicks?
There is no word on what is happening with them?
Are you back watching the golf again?
I have been washing my hair.......but must knuckle down now and see to dinner.....
