Acts 13:9-11King James Version (KJV)

9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

The link worked for me.
Thankfully, the blinding was only temporary.

Hi, Rusty!
No, you are of course quite right!
I apologise...... I even grovel...... for ever doubting you!
But I didn't know that about Paul... and it was confusing with himself being blinded by God on the Road to Damascus.
However , Paul only blinded the man temporarily - I think it was intended to show him the error of his ways and lead him to God.
( Sometimes I think a barrel of salt might be more appropriate!)
The reference Pigale gives (thank you, Pigale ) is for the temporary blinding of this man...
If you want to check the blinding of Paul himself by God, this is in Acts 9 v 3-9.
Yes, I am watching the Athletics!
A pity Kat JT couldn't manage a longer jump!
But she has moved up the Heptathlon ladder a little bit......

Hello. Pigale!
Thank you for your reference!
The link was absolutely fine... it only required copying and pasting.
No problem!
The second link only echoed what you had already quoted.......
We are all getting into the mood for a Sunday?
Yes, I am good, thank you.
I hope the same goes for you?

Hello, Jazzy!
No problem.......
But it is not I to whom you should be apologising......
Maybe an acknowledgement to Pigale for her kindly efforts to help?

Good morning Rusty!

I am fine too, thank you.

Sorry about the link - but glad you were able to read another site
giving the same 'story'.

Weather here is very nice today, but has been a bit up and down recently, The southern half of the country has most of the heat,
though we too are due to go over the 28/30s on certain days over the
next couple of weeks. But for us here, it is a bit like a yo-yo!

Hope you enjoy your golf, athletics and marathon! You are a busy
'armchair sportsman'!
