Hello, Elle!
Pigale says to mark off Bastille Day on your calendar, too!
Hopefully a French winner in Le Tour that day, too!
I only know Wimbledon is in the summer, like the Open Golf Championship but I do not know the dates.
I think you should be OK to catch the women's final before the athletics.
Is Roehampton Londonish?

Hi Elle,

Yes, thankfully, just today I felt a slight improvement - Not a lot but
at least I can control the pain more now thanks to the patch and
trying to space out the tablets intake.

Cats came back home yesterday and since then they have not left
my side !

Hello Rusty,

Yes, more slightly more comfortable today, thanks.

A French win on the 14th would be nice indeed, but I don't yet
know who is taking part. Should be announced sometime this
week I would think.

Hi, Rusty!
I guess a lot will depend on the time element.
I have no idea how we shall travel to Stratford to the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
I am assuming that we shall need to go by public transport because parking will prove impossible.
Also, as we shall be coming home late, we shall have to take mode of travelling into consideration.
I shall look into that.
(I can always record the tennis, although it is not the same as watching it live!)
Now...Roehampton........ my husband used to live there in his bachelor days!
It is in London SE15 about four miles from Wimbledon .

Hello, Pigale!
I am glad that you are improving, albeit gradually.
I am sure that cats will have really missed you - and will remain glued to your side for quite a while!

Good day, Rusty!
I hope your muscles have recovered somewhat by now, from your house removal exertions ?
Now.... tennis update!
The Brit Marcus Willis has made good use of his Wild Card so far...he is now through to the Second Round of the Qualifying sessions.
He must win through three Rounds in order to win one of the 16 Championships’ Main Draw places for men.
(The women have 12 places)
Fingers crossed for him!
He played well this morning.
Beautiful sunshine here!

Hello, Elle!
Muscles are not too bad.
I think the move is complete!
I have been repairing a neighbour's wall today, prior to decoration.
Just fairly minor cracks etc. I am not the decorator!
It is a fine day here.
Just two chicks in the nest, when I looked.
Lassie must be stretching her wings!

Hi, Rusty!
That is very good of you to repair your neighbour's wall!
Is this for the nurse who likes to do your crosswords?
I have had a neighbour round this morning.
He has been trying to inveigle me into helping him with an argument with the Council.
I am reluctant to become involved this time, as I have been having my own battle with one of the local councillors over a somewhat similar issue .......and I feel the problems are best approached independently from different angles.
I think that might carry more weight?
Anyway, we shall see.....
The larger chick has just been fluttering her wings!
I wonder how long before they will fly?

Hello, Elle!
No, not the nurse, another neighbour who had a stroke a year or two ago and can not do all the things he would like to.
He used to like doing the crossword in the local paper, but can not do it any more.
The stroke affected that part of his brain, apparently.
Are you at war with the council?
Good for you!
Hope sense prevails!
I think it will be a while yet before the young ones fledge.
There appears to be "renovations" going on at the nest.
I see clumps of fresh moss etc, whatever they are up to?

Hi, Rusty!
No it isn't "war" (as yet) with the Council, just a skirmish!
I think I'm winning on points!
It is to do with a local parking problem.
I see that Heather Watson had an excellent win at Eastbourne, although her fellow countrymen Naomi Broady and Kyle Edmund went out.
Yes, I saw the fresh moss in the nest.
Maybe Lassie is doing some house keeping!
What happened to the "dud" egg?
Is it still there? or has it been jettisoned?
