Good morning, Elle!
Fine cool day here!
I'll give the fascinators a miss, I think.
There will be many more at Ascot today.
Had a blip with my Chromebook.
I cleared "history" and lost everything I had saved in YouTube, so I have been restoring what can I remember.
Hugh P and Maria, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou, Amira, Carmen Monarcha, flashmobs, etc. etc.
Silly me!
All well with the microwave?

Rossim, hello
Have you been watching the owlets' progress?
On looking in just now I was faced with an empty box!
presumably some will come back later in the day?

Good morning, Rusty!
A dull but so far dry day here - much cooler and very much nicer in that respect!
Much better walking weather at least!
I know how it feels when supposedly "saved" material disappears!
I wrote a really long letter to a friend in Canada yesterday, blinked...... and it vanished from my screen!
I never did trace it, but had to begin all over again!
I hope you re-organise your Chrome- book!
Yes, the new microwave is good!
We set it up last night.... and I had my poached egg for breakfast!
Are you watching horse racing at Ascot today?

Hello, Elle!
I may catch a bit of Ascot.
Thomas Hobson runs again in the last race. So....
The race is the Queen Alexandra Stakes, the longest flat race in the calendar.
But, I am "helping" at a house clearance/removal in Fife today.
Throwing stuff into a skip, mainly, and driving a van!
Almost finished!
The folks are moving to a smaller house in town.
I put them onto a "window blinds" fitter and they are very pleased with the result....and price.
This is the second time I have unintentionally got rid of YouTube "history".
A blooming nuisance!

Hi, Rusty!
So you may bet on "Hobson's Choice".....?
Well, I hope Thomas Hobson wins for you!
That is very kind out of you to help out your friends with moving house.
I cannot imagine a harder prospect than moving!
My huge numbers of books alone would prove daunting!
And to downgrade to a smaller home must provide endless problems!
I am about to go wash my hair.......then watch some tennis and take out the dog...not sure yet in what order!
First, I need my husband to take a look at the printer...I cannot print out the grids for the crosswords ...
It may be the ink?
Such technicalities are beyond me!

Hello, Elle!
I was only a team member in the moving house scenario.
Plenty others helping.
I am finished now and have taken back the van.
They had a wonderful view across the Tay estuary and I am sure they will miss that.
Would your computer not alert you if you needed ink?
When I had a printer it was quite straightforward changing ink cartridges.
I do not need a printer now though.
Yes, I have "done" Thomas Hobson in the last race.
A good "choice", I hope!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, so you have finished and are home again and able to get back to Ascot?
It was very good of you to give up your time to help!
What a pity that your friends couldn't move within the same area?
And then they wouldn't have lost their "view".
Or did they wish to move nearer to town?
Yes, normally , my computer "tells" me when the ink is low...but the first I knew about it on this occasion was when the crossword grids came out mostly all "white" - impossible to fill in!
It did prove to be lack of black ink....my husband has kindly changed the cartridges for me (I don't know how to do that!).
I am watching a riveting match between Cilic and Muller.
One set each.......and going with serve.......

Thank you, Chris!
Now that my printer is working again...I shall take a look!

Hello, Elle!
It is my daughter-in-law's parents.
They feel it is time they were in sheltered housing and that is what this is about.
They have sold their house (the views alone would sell it) and are in the process of moving.
They could see the seals on the sandbanks from their window, and sometimes the dolphins in the water.
They will be much closer to their daughter now and she will get them taken on at our health centre which is light years ahead of the one they had across the water.
My son was the "main man" in the removal and rounded up a mixture of pals, grandchildren etc to help.
Miss La Bamba was a dab hand at ordering folk about!
Went very well!
Changing ink cartridges is easy. You should learn!

Hi, Rusty!
Would this be the gentleman who had the recent heart surgery then - the triple bypass?
I think you did mention that a house move was imminent?
He is doing well if recovered enough to participate in moving house.
A pity about the views......but it does sound a sensible move, especially under the circumstances .
And much easier for your daughter -in -law to have her parents living nearer to her, where she can help, and also keep a general eye on them .
I tend to get a tad muddled with your several daughters - in -law.......is this the one that lives the nearest to you? (Miss L-B's and Miss O's mum?)
Now, update on the tennis!
Marin Cilic won his match - a quick break in serve ...and it was all over!
Dimitrov and Lopez playing now.......going with serve .
