Hello, Elle!
It has been said that box jellyfish are the most venomous creatures in the world.
I read once of a man who got stung by them and the medics gave him morphine and he was still screaming in pain, even when unconscious.
Yes, I am fine. I phoned for a "sit and wait" appointment at 8.00 and was seen at 10.30.
It is an excellent health practice.
20, I presume Cambridge is on the River Cam?
And they have punts on the river there?
Cam is Mac/computer reversed and bridge is a card game.
Apple make/made Mac computers.
Think it is short for Macintosh, named after the Macintosh apple.
I prefer Braeburns!
Cadastral is new to me, too!

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, so "Cambridge" is the definition "where punters are".... and not "Cam"!
Yes, I see........thank you.
I have been to Cambridge - there are usually punters on the river.....
A very dear friend of mine used to live there......and we would go to visit......
Sadly he died from lung cancer in his mid thirties.
(although unlike my husband, and your father, he was a heavy smoker)
My microwave ceased to function yesterday!
So, this morning, I have been looking online for a replacement.
I have found one that meets my requirements and it is going to be delivered between 6.30 pm and 10 pm this evening!
Not bad service?
Okay...time to watch some tennis......

Hello, Elle!
I thought "Cambridge" was a bit loose definition, but I looked up Cambridge and it is known for "punting tours" on the Cam, so I suppose it is near enough!
I would be lost without a microwave oven!
Yes, you appear to have got good service from your microwave oven shop!
Will they take your old one?

Hi, Rusty!
I had to do without my poached egg on toast this morning, as I always do my egg in the microwave!
But no, they won't take the old one......we shall have to take it to the local "tip" where it will be recycled.
Marin Cilic has just won through to the Semi Final!
He is the fourth seed.....and, of course, the top one remaining now.
Are you watching the tennis?

Hello, Elle,
I have been watching the racing from Ascot.
Why are the women's hats called "fascinators"?
You will be looking forward to your new microwave oven?
Pity the shop will not take the old one away for you.

Hi, Rusty!
Anything interesting to report from the Acot racing?
Did you have a bet on a horse?
Dimitrov beat Medvedev.
An excellent match.
Lopez and Berych are still playing, with Lopez having taken the first set.
I don't know who will play whom in the Semis?
Yes, we are missing the microwave - we use it a lot.
But the new one should be here by 10pm at the latest!

Hello, Elle,
No bet today, maybe tomorrow.
Why "fascinator" for a hat?
What am I missing here?
Is your microwave oven one that grills etc, too?
Mine is a TESCO cheapie, but I have had it for years and it does the job.
Very few posts on the Forum today?

Hi, Rusty!
Update.......my new microwave has arrived!
It arrived at 8 o'clock.
That wasn't bad going, was it?
Yes, it grills, bakes and roasts!
As did the previous one.
This is largely simply a back up measure though.
Mostly we use it for "heating up" purposes!
We haven't unpacked it yet......
A "fascinator"?
It must come from the Latin "fascinatus" meaning to bewitch or cast a spell.
I like wearing "big" hats for such as weddings!
I bought two gorgeous hats for the girls' wedding ceremonies - one from Jacques Vert!
But a fascinator will not stay on my curls!
They seem to fit on some type of Alice band.....and they always slide off my head!
Feciliano Lopez beat Tomas Berdych!

Hello, Elle!
Fascinator is a new term to me.
Ascot was awash with them!
Alice band?
That seems to be a very posh microwave oven you have!
It seems to be warming up here again.
Need more rain!

Hey, Rusty!
The microwave is much the same as the two we have had previously, over the years.
I go for the familiarity!
At least then, I shall know how to operate it!
Warming up?
It's getting cold (comparatively ) here! And I am loving it!
Tomorrow we are told we shall have twelve hours of rain!
From noon till midnight!
Google "fascinators" - and you shall see pictures of them...you will find out what is an "Alice band", then!
