Hello, Elle!
Things are on the up.
My daughter-in-law is going to collect me in her motor.
I had planned to call a cab.
At my granddaughters' graduation they were allowed four tickets for the ceremony.
Think this may be the same, though my son is not going to it.
My guess, Mum, big sis, girlfriend, and ?
I may have seen the prog but I am recording it anyway.
Very kind of Malone to alert me!
I still have one to watch about the "Last Day of World War 1".
I have given up on "America's Got Talent".
I prefer ours, apart from Amanda's frocks!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh, that is good of your daughter-in -law.
When is she collecting you?
Have you had time to do your crossword?
I am not liking today's 15 x 15 as much as yesterday's......in fact, I may well give up!
Although I appreciated 10a.
The answer to that clue is one of my pet (grammatical) hates!
I have two clues for you from the QC...you will probably not like them!
But I thought they were better examples than usual?
10a: Secrete 24th letter you had read out (5)
15a: Cockney's "titfer" to give now (2, 7)
(I especially liked 10a!)
I've never seen "America's Got Talent"?
But when we were (briefly) in New York , I though American TV was awful!

Rusty, Elle, I hope tonight's Somme programme is not a repeat. I mentioned it only because The Times featured it in their 'viewing guide' - 'Last year was the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme and the BBC marked it with the... exemplary series that seemed to leave no stone unturned. However, this film revisits the horrors of one of the bloodiest battles...' It sounds as if it's new, but maybe not.

Hello, Elle!
I think she will be here around 1.30.
No, I did not buy a paper so no crossword today.
10, exude?
'At present ?
Do not give up.
I am sure Malone will help you if I am not here!
America's Got Talent is on some odd channel.
I think it is called "TruTv" or something like that.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, to both of those answers!
I thought that for a homophone and a Cockneyism , they were not too bad ?
But probably far too easy for you!
I am going to desert the crossword for the tennis!
Have fun this afternoon!
Talk later.....

Hello, Malone!
I only thought that it might be the same programme, as it has the exact same title, and the blurb describes it as " being the stories of seven men......".
This is the same as the original BBC documentary series!
That too was the stories of seven of the men whose remarkable bravery won them the Victoria Cross.
But then again...it may yet prove to be something entirely new!
It is very kind of you to tell us about it anyway!
And Rusty is going to record it.
But I don't have the "Yesterday" channel!
Btw, I now have a workable Red Button on my "new" TV!
All ready for Wimbledon!

Elle, it'll be interesting to see (!) if the Somme programme IS a new one. You mentioned not having 'Yesterday' - it's channel 19 on our Freeview. I think it used to be the History Channel but got rebranded, renamed. I know your Freeview service seemed to have some gaps, very strange. Glad you've got a fully functional Red Button, it'll be needed soon when Wimbledon comes along!

Sorry, Malone....
I've been watching the tennis at Queens.
You are quite correct! I do now have "Yesterday " on Freeview!
I have another TV now...donated by my daughter who bought a bigger set.

Hi, Rusty!
How was your celebratory outing?
I hope you all had a good time?
I have been watching the tennis at Queens for most of the afternoon - in between fielding phone calls!
It has been one of those days!
The young Australian who beat Andy Miller in the first round, went out himself today to the American Sam Querry.
It was a good match, though.
Both played well, and it went to three sets.
I think Jordan Thompson is going to be a player to look out for in the future.
He is only rated 90th, and is playing like a "champion"!
I expect your son will be arriving soon?
You are having a busy day!

Elle, glad you've got Yesterday and a fully functioning Red Button service. Now all you need is...no rain during Wimbledon fortnight.

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I had a fine time!
My grandson looked great in the kilt and robe!
Been quite hectic!
Town was full of graduates, families, and friends.
Great to see everyone dressed in their best, and then there was me!
You seem to have enjoyed the tennis anyway!
Hope you have finished your puzzle!
