I had of course wanted Roger to win......but he eventually lost out to Tommy Haas.
I hadn't realised that they only played a three set match in this tournament.
But Tommy Haas did well - it was excellent tennis. all round.
The two of them are close friends.
I had better go bring in all my (now thoroughly dry) washing!
And then see about dinner!

I think the match was only Round 2, and I have no idea who else is taking part in the Cup...so I don't know how much chance Haas has of going any further.
But he is a good player and he deserved his win today.
He is 39 now ; whereas Roger is 35.
There are a lot of youngsters coming up........

I had dinner and then I sat down to read.......and fell asleep over my book!
I think it was possibly the contrast of finally sitting down "in comfort" on the sofa!
I have spent a lot of time today perched on the computer chair, watching the tennis at Stuttgart!

Have a gas engineer coming to service my boiler so must get my paper etc before he arrives.

I have just arrived home!
It is very hot out already ...we stuck to the shade of the woods this morning.
Snap! We too are having the c/h engineer round to service our boiler today!
I booked the appointment online, so was able to choose a two-hour time slot.
I asked him to come between 12 and 2 pm., which effectively keeps the morning and afternoon free for whatever we need to do.
Any sign of yours yet?
Now the DL.........I have tracked it down and seemingly it starts on EuroSport 2 at 7pm.
I am looking forward to it!
It is also repeated tomorrow morning at 9am
(I have belatedly discovered how to work out the "calendar"!)
Now....I need a coffee......and my apple and some cheese.......
