Mo Farah says he will not leave his coach.A couple of years ago there some Chinese athletes who came out of nowhere broke records then disappeared,It cannot be good for them to take drugs but the money which flows in all sports now must be very attractive.I just realised I like opera music with out the words do that make me a philistine

Pigale, I know!
I am sure Her Majesty has a sense of humour, too!

Elle, I have no idea of what Salazar is saying, but I understand there was much unsaid.
Same with Farah, I don't know of any previous problems with a coach.
But remember all Ma's Chinese athletes were breaking records all over the place, too. It is endemic in sport.
Many of the organisations, like FIFA and UCI, etc are corrupt. Armstrong made donations to UCI to cover up failed drug tests. And that is only what we know.
What about the uncovered stuff?

Doglet, I think if you were a philistine, you would not even like the music - and quite frankly, I tend to be like you, apart from a few famous pieces.

Too true, Rusty. I guess we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. And I cannot see where it will all end?
As you say, drug -taking is endemic in sport.
I wish I didn't know about it - I know it's no use going about like the proverbial ostrich and burying one's head in the sand, but it so spoils everything when seen though jaundiced eyes, don't you think?

Hi, Doglet! I never thought to think what opera would be like without the singing! It's an interesting concept! Actually, I guess that I'm the philistine here because I must confess I don't really like listening to opera!
But both of us like art, don't we , and other music, so neither of us is really a Philistine!
