Hello, Elle!
Laura was superb!
In a class of her own.
Eilish ran a great race too, and Steph competed very well, too.
I think Eilish should attempt longer distances, but she is young yet.
I did not watch the cycling.
I am looking forward to the relays!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it is all going well!
I was so excited about Asha Phillips getting her Gold medal in the 60m, and Robbie Grabarz his Silver in the High Jump.
Then I had to miss some of the transmission due to a rather long incoming phone call!
I didn't realise until just now, that during that time there must have been an objection about the Women's 60m race.
The commentator has just said that despite the protest put in, Asha can retain her medal......
Whatever happened ?
I missed all that?
Now the relays to go...........

Hello, Elle!
I do not know.
I switched off after Laura's interview with Gabby.
i have been delving into the Team Sky shenanigans.
I liked this quote, "I have seen more transparency in a brick wall!".
I agree. A very dubious outfit!
I think Asha and all the other sprinters are having a hard time due to false and faulty starts.
Remember to phone your cousin!

Hi, Rusty!
Uhm, you did well to remind me to ring my cousin!
I completely forgot that it was Sunday!
It was already ten past nine when I read your message.
Anyway, I then rang immediately..........she was wondering why I was late!
I cannot discover why the Swiss objected to Asha's Gold medal -- I have tried googling it.
There is a mention of the objection, no explanation as to why.
Maybe it will be in the paper tomorrow?
Anyway, the medal ceremony went ahead.
And the women's GB relay team took Silver!
A very successful day, wasn't it?

Hello, Elle!
Imagine forgetting about your cousin!
All well up North?
It was to do with the starting reaction times, I think.
I have seen folk disqualified for too quick reaction times this week.
It seems very harsh to me.
The Times may have something about it tomorrow.
They appear to be after Dave Brailsford's blood, too, and Team Sky.
Bad publicity for Sky TV.
Time he fell on his sword.

A very good morning to you, Rusty!
It is a beautiful day here - blue sky and sunshine!
An enjoyable early morning walk.
How is it in your part of the world?
Yes, the family up north is well, thank you!
Was there anything in your paper about Asha Philip and the Swiss objection to her medal?
I can still find nothing on Google?
No papers for me this week as John is back from his holiday!
Sadly, we have a funeral to attend later this morning.
Then another dog walk after lunch!
What do you have planned for your day?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here.
I have been to Royal Mail depot for a parcel, then to cemetery.
It is my Mother's anniversary today.
That is today's priorities taken care of.
Very slow moving traffic, too!
I have to go to ASDA later.
I have not bought a paper so far, but I think the Swiss are complaining about reaction times at the sprint starts.
Possibly they feel Asha's reaction time was under the limit?
I think the powers that be should have another look at their system as it is causing bad feeling, and faulty starts.
Who'd be a sprinter!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
We are home again from the funeral.
There was a church service beforehand.
We shall be at the Crematorium again in another six days, as it will be the Anniversary of my mother's death.
(She died the day before Mother's Day, which made it especially poignant)
I expect you have been for your paper by now?
Have you finished your puzzle?
I made a start on the 15 x 15 crossword before going out .....about a third still to do!
I had better make a strong coffee - I need sustenance!

Hello, Elle!
That's good you attended the funeral etc.
I got a lovely bunch of roses (I think!) for the cemetery.
I am just home from ASDA.
I was being interrogated as to why I was there in the afternoon!
Not looked at the crossword yet.
It is a lovely day here!

I've just finished watching "Rivers with Griff Rhys Jones" featuring the Tay, its local people, floods, fishing, wild swimming, glorious scenery and more. Worth watching on iplayer :)
