Hi, Rusty!
It is still lovely here, too.
I just popped out briefly with the dog.
She is enjoying the fine weather!
I see the Asda girls are keeping tabs on you!
I finished the crosswords.
They seemed much easier then usual today?
I learned that "kill" means "ice" - now that I didn't know!
A lot of the daffodils are out in the garden!
It does look pretty.
I forgot to ask....how is your car behaving now, on starting up first thing?

Jazzgirl, I have just recorded one about the Shannon!
A pity I did not know the Tay was on.
I do not know how to work iplayer (if I have one!)
I hope you enjoyed it.

Hello, Elle!
My car seems fine, so far.
Nothing untoward was found.
Crossword was quite good.
I do not understand "American" in 24a, though?
"Old -time", yes, but why "American"?
The Asda girls are great with me.
I sing their praises and rightly so.
Some days they are the only folk to speak to me.
"Kill/ice" is often in crosswords.

Rusty, I think the 'American' in 24 A just refers to the spelling - it'd be 'aeo' in the middle for English English!

Hi , Rusty!
I'd thought you were advised to drive the car a bit more, to see if that made any difference to its starting?
I was just wondering if it did?
24a: "old-time" is the definition.
"paleolithic" is the 'American' spelling of the word......
We would spell it " palaeolithic", with a second "a".
Try this for the programme about the Tay.......

I hope it works!
Incredible scenery !

Thank you, Jazzgirl, I have bookmarked the link and will watch it later this night.

Thank you, Malone!
I did think "American" would have something to do with it, but could not twig what it was!

Hello, Elle!
I did a few miles this morning to the cemetery!
Seems to be starting better, though.
I suggested cleaning the earth straps but I do not know if that was done or not.
I did not know the variant spellings of the word, but it makes sense.
I assumed in my ignorance "American" was a superfluous word.
I have bookmarked the link.
Is there a waterfall in it?
