Good morning, Rusty!
How are you today?
We have sunshine here!
How about you?
Now........I have looked up "The Four seas" in Brewers!
It refers to them as being the seas that surround Great Britain, but does not name them.
("The Celtic Sea is very tiny - I think were it to be included , that would give us "five seas"!)
However..........." The Seven seas " are totally different bodies of water.
As far as I can ascertain, these are the Arctic and Antarctic, North and South Pacific , North and South Atlantic, and the Indian, Oceans.
Wikipedia and Brewers both bear this out.
But there again, there are also the Arabian Seven seas , which are listed as the Black , Caspian, Arabian, Red, Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas , plus the Indian Ocean.
It all seems very complicated to me!
No wonder Geography was a hated subject for me at school!

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, but I am wondering if the Celtic Sea just isn't included in the count as it is so small?
Brewers refers to "the four seas" as those surrounding Britain.
If we include the Celtic Sea would that not make "five seas"?
I'm not at all sure on this as my knowledge of Geography is very weak!
It's mild here - how is it with you?

Good Morning to you!

I am afraid I am an hour behind schedule today - overslept! (a lot!)

It is mild here too and yesterday was brilliantly sunny with temps up to 14C in sun (protected from breeze). the sun is not out today but it is not dull - temp 12C at present. We had our Winter during 5 solid weeks of freezing weather in January.
I would not be surprised is cranes started to fly over us soon- they usually have an over-night rest around here, and make a lot of noise!

The way I learnt things at school is that an ocean is not a sea. Sea are the prolongation of oceans when land start surrounding them-
but like you Elle, geography was not my favourite subject, particularly as some countries often decided to change their name!

Good morning, Elle!
It is a lovely mild breezy day up here.
Very pleasing!
Yes, I know the Seven Seas are completely different, but folk have heard of them, unlike the "four seas" which are not named and appears to be a bit of a makey-up name to me.
I thought the Celtic Sea was a newish name coined by the offshore oil industry?
I have not heard of the Arabian Seven Seas.
Have you been out in the sun today?
No ladies lunching today?

Good morning, Pigale!
Your present weather seems mild to me.
Hope it lasts!
The Sargasso Sea is in the Atlantic Ocean, but not close to land.
Geography was one of the very subjects at school that I did not mind.
I was glad to escape when I was old enough!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I was up at the park by 8am as usual!
The dog and I always face whatever elements the day might throw at us, be it rain or shine!
Today we were very fortunate in that the sun was shining early on, and we had a most pleasant walk!
No, I am not "lunching" today!
As I had been expecting that the family would be staying here over half-term, I cancelled "Ladies Who Lunch" this week.
But as it turns out, I could have gone after all......
My daughter rang early this morning to say that she , too, has gone down with the "dreaded lurgy"!
Both her younger son and herself have high temps, bad colds and coughs!
It is a good job that they hadn't already arrived here, isn't it?
Or most probably , we should all have ended up ill!
We are disappointed that we shall not be seeing them...but they can replan their visit when they are recovered, and come for a weekend.
What are you up to?

Hello, Elle!
That is a pity about your family having a bug.
Best they keep them well away from your husband and you.
I have done all my chores and am watching the skiing.
There is bike racing on Eurosport this afternoon.
I shall go for a dander before that, though.
And tackle the crossword!

Hi, Rusty!
I am away out myself now....we are just taking the dog out for her second walk!
The sun is still shining and the sky is blue - it is a glorious day!
I hope you enjoy your own "dander" - or have you already been?
Anyway, enjoy the cycling and I'll catch you later........

Hi, Rusty!
We have had a lovely afternoon out.
It was even warm enough to sit in the sun for a while!
I came home to find a Newsletter email from EuroSports Player.
Very efficiently, they are notifying me about the European Athletics Indoor Championships coming up on March 3rd to 5th.
I am well impressed!
That is a very good service!
How was/is the cycle racing?
Is your son visiting you this evening?

Hello, Elle!
No cycling, I had to venture into town for a wee while.
That is good of Eurosport keeping you up to date.
My son should visit if he gets home in good time from work.
I hope so.
Still mild here and the forecast indicates it should stay that way.

Hey, Rusty!
I hope your son got home in time to visit you?
You will have enjoyed your time together.
It is good to talk!
Our younger daughter rang to finalise the arrangements for tomorrow.
She is taking BB to the "Lego Building" session held at The Royal Festival Hall, in the early morning, and we are meeting them there afterwards and taking them out to lunch.
It should be good!
We can get a mainline train to Charing Cross and then walk over the Hungerford Bridge.
My friend is having the dog for the day.
I am looking forward to it!
How are you getting on with the "three men"? not forgetting Montmorency?
