Wonder why?
I do not like it since it was revamped.

I don't see much difference apart the huge font which was done to help those on phone and tablet. But I did prefer the old layout

There have been requests to have things changed, posted on Editor's Blog, since Sunday, which said Editor has not seen fit to respond to.

Personally, , I feel this site could do with a revamp . It needs something to liven it up

I hope you are enjoying Three men, rusty . I was taken a little aback in chapter 7 with a certain word being uttered by Harris as a comment on George's loud blazer. But, considering when the book was written, it was commonly used and not in a racial way. Have a good evening.

I had not reached Chapter 7, but had a look just now.
Yes, I see the word.
Different times, different mores.
I read a book recently about a young lady who went to teach in wild Alaska in the twenties, and the racism about the Native Americans was dreadful.
It spoiled the book for me.
3 Men is a good tale!

Yes, rusty. As well as the antics, the humour, the digressions, and anecdotes, there are some beautiful passages which are quite serious and bring a tear to the eye. Goodnight. Zzzz

I do not know what happens with pacemakers?
I had just assumed that the pacemaker was paid for doing the job?
But actually have no idea whether this is so?
I wonder if Google could tell us?
I shall "investigate" later.......
It is a pity that Brunel had to wait for a response - maybe no-one knew the answers - that must happen on occasions......?
Or possibly everyone was just busy.......
I was not "looking" because I was watching "The Voice"!
I should hate for this site to be become a carbon copy, or similar, of Answerbank............
"Each to his own", of course, but that would really not appeal to me.......it is the quieter more personal touch here that appeals.......

Jenny will have to be paid too.
She is in Laura's team!
It was the Saturday Times that Brunel was doing.
It is not an "easy" cryptic", but I was surprised he had waited so long.
Then Jazzgirl turned up to help him..
I suspect there were "regulars" not on site.
I did not know until later, but that is my normal procedure.
I look in for a few minutes then, go away.
I much prefer this forum.
As a matter of fact, I never look at the crossword section on AB.
It will be years since I answered a crossword query over there.
But I do do browse on other sections like Technology, or Motoring.
We are all different and many think it is an excellent site.
