or go to the genius, ask for the print version, get told it's unavailable and then add any number(s) to the address line, go there and it should appear.

Can anyone see the Java version and confirm there are no black squares in it? - because there are none in the print version. Is it a skeleton or a misprint?

There are black squares in the on-line (Java) version, however none in the print version.

LOL! The Grauniad have found a new way to make it unavailable to us!

... and if it's do-able as a skeleton, that means those of us who can't see the Java version and therefore can't send it in will have done twice the work for no (possible) financial reward!

Honestly, the Grauniad always seems such a nice paper until you do the genius...

Aren't nice and genius a pair of oxymorons?

Anyway, I used a pencil.

'I used a pencil' - you mean you've finished it? I've only just printed it out (but I've seen a couple in the bottom left and am about to have breakfast while de-skeletonising it, so no spoilers please!).

Um.... I used a pencil to colour in the missing black blobs. That's all. I'm no genius ;-)

Noooooooooo!

Don't spoil my mental image of you! I see you uttering a derisive, "Hah! You must try harder, Picaroon!" as you throw down a pencil onto a completed October Genius and stride off.

I gently placed the pencil down onto my dusty desk, glanced over at my artwork and smiled with the satisfaction of a five year old who knew they were about to be awarded a gold star for "colouring in".
