Priceless? Is that Elton John's brother? At last, there's something in this thread I can understand! I was a civil servant once, in an organisation that was eventually totally wrecked by incompetent senior management. But I'm not allowed to tell you about that. it's a secret.

Thanks, Eric. Good try mis-laid = dial, but not on this occasion. Thanks Mamya as well. Your grandson sounds exactly like my wife! No one else has had a go, so I take that as a "Give In".

The quickest way to find something you have mislaid is to go out and buy a replacement. The original item is guaranteed to turn up within days.

my mother came home from her "knitting circle" with an instruction book called knit you own fungi. our hopes were raised only to find that when we opened the booklet they were of the mushroom and toadstool variety. if you want a copy of this i will be able to furnish you with the instructions just in case you are be bored with the bisquits, and fancy a fungi.
