Isn’t the meaningful Italian word just the last three letters? It is what a three year old is more than?

Yes, seems like a perfectly reasonable clue to me?

I agree re 15 bowergirl and actonhighstreet. I thought it was rather witty - it made me smile, anyways!

Re the abbreviation for 'not available' in 19d, I think it is more commonly associated with 'not applicable' - often given as an option on those now ubiquitous feedback forms. In what context would one use or see NA for not available? Other than that, a perfectly fair clue!

I biffed 20a as I knew the expression (having worked in TV for a number of years) and I was looking for a final word that rhymed with 11a, but I didn't fully get the wordplay until seeing Jono's comments. I could see Hamper in there, but that was it!

This felt a bit different to normal, though I'm not sure why. I did enjoy it though, so thanks Everyman.

And re 20, I do think that clarkgwent's definition of the phrase as meaning 'having reached an unprecedented level of absurdity,' is a much better definition than the one given!

If anyone on here has been listening to The Archers (a BBC radio soap, for our non-UK friends) over the past couple of weeks (or longer), and also been reading the message boards, then you'll know that that phrase has been much used in reference to the absurd and ridiculous plots we've been subjected to!

Re 15a, I see it now. My parsing was incorrect.

Would someone mind parsing 12 dn for me please? I can't find 11 letters worth of fodder which equates to the answer.

And shouldn't 19 ac have a sound alike indicator?

As you were. I guess it's "to be told".
