A bit stuck on 21d which I have as _t_i and really can’t see what can fit. I’m assuming I have 26a wrong, but what I have seems to fit.

Your letters are right for 21. It's a word much commoner in crosswords than real life. I could say more, but it would be a bit of a giveaway.

Thanks chrise - Chambers didn’t have ornamental as part of the definition. Got there in the end, but think I prefer ptui as an expression of disgust that fits this clue!

Fun gentle everyman. All finished up though a little confused by 'not available'? in 19d. Parsed the rest of the clue but not sure how that first bit is working

Read 19 upwards. There'a a common abbreviation for "not available"

It's 9A that has me stumped. I think it's an anagram but can't crack it.

Yes. Def "maybe nose", "around" is anagram indicator.

19d - what’s the significance of the inverted commas? Also, is there a difference between single and double inverted commas, generally?

Re 15a, I think I parsed it. My problem is the last 6 letters of definition do not yield a meaningful Italian word. I am no expert on foreign languages - but there is a 5-letter word and and a 7-seven letter word that will make sense; that will leave a letter short or excess in the clue.
Unless the 6 letters is a variant spelling...
