The clues...
Requests for help should normally include the clue itself, the number of letters in the answer and details of any you already have. Any additional information or special instructions, common in Listener puzzles, should also be included.
HINTS only, please, no answers.

The theme...
Help with the theme may also be sought here. The help given should be just a nudge, a pointer in the right direction - and definitely not anything that would spoil the puzzle for others. Any posts which, even inadvertently, reveal too much of the theme are likely to be removed.

These threads have many Listener regulars, but newcomers are always welcome - and should be made to feel so!

There is no need for any unsolicited help.

The Listener is a unique puzzle and should be treated with respect.

Not just you mullingar.

I'm getting a 404 error for the whole of the listener back catalogue. Hopefully someone fixes it soon!

Fine for me, both at 1550 and just now, at 1851. A very pleasing solve too - thankfully much less onerous than a few of this year's so far. Many thanks, Skylark.

Thanks woodlouse. I was trying in the normal place but must have had a problem on my tablet. Managed to get access now.

cockie - fully agree, nice puzzle, and a theme I remember reading a while ago!

A generous offering compared to last week's - not a theme I'm familiar with but it raised a smile.

I agree. A pleasant puzzle to solve. Neat, but with enough bite to engage me.

Thanks, Skylark.

If you've never read the book, you should do so!
