I think you mean "following" rather than "followed by"?

I did write it the way I meant it, chrise, but accidentally deleted the word “all” before reversed. You can’t just assume the C follows the beak, as it starts the clue, so it has to be part of the reversal. So it must be C beak, all reversed

Thanks, Quisling, that makes sense. I thought the first word was definition, could just about stretch it to either of the options which fitted the crossers. Then saw the reminder of the 3-letter "beak", "looking over" ... and then ground to a halt. All is now clear, thanks!
