Great story! Very easy to find. Stars and basket were my new words and I don't think I've come across clumsy person before either.

Talking of Camilla, I've been watching The Crown and they ALL use 13a

Not too tricky I thought. 3d and 24a are nice words, though I always thought 3d was more to do with being a cheeky youngster rather than being insignificant.

Brummie is known for themes (or so I thought) but I don’t see one here. I did wondered if some 5d’s were hiding in other solutions but I suspect not.

I agree with most of the points made - my first question was going to be "where's the definition in 3d?". Never heard of 7d.
Is "rather" right in 23? "More" would be more accurate.
Favourite probably 14a, mainly because a Radio 3 presenter repeatedly mispronounced it a couple of days ago!

I took the definition of 3d to be just “nobody” and so “wants a” is just padding

Agree with chrise that 7d was a NHO

I agree with ianwil, the first word in 3d is the definition.

A fun crossword FOI 13a which made me laugh, LOI 9a COD 26a
7d and 4 d were new words for me. I thought that 3d was OK as two words 3 & 7

Once again I finished before coming here for help so I'd say it's on the easy side but fun nonetheless. FOI 5A. LOI 13A which made me smilecand my wife laugh out loud. 7 was a new word for me too. Christ I think rather is ok in 23 but perhaps I'm thinking of rather in the French sense, eg assez âgé to mean older. Does that work in English? I think it does.
