Game of two halves for me, literally as the west side was almost blank after my first attempt. Came back to it after breakfast and things improved greatly. Food helped my little grey cells as part of 22a would say. Some lovely clues. 23d was my last one in. Is Ace just referring to an a? I assume it must be as the answer is a priest.
Have a great day.

Hi birder. Just watched that goal, also a Spurs fan, just made my day.

A Greek theme, yes, with perhaps a turtle or two thrown in.

My last one is 26, I have the crossers , although 23 could be one of two letters, either way - any help would be much appreciated.

Where do I start? For my standard (occasionally able to complete a Quick Cryptic), this is like torture!

I can solve 1,4,10,27 across and 1,2,5,7 down.

Could I please ask for a bit of guidance for 9a, 12a, 13a? I have some letters but they remain harder to enter than Fort Knox.

Fernie, 26 is a fictional character, the clue is not particularly cryptic. The second word is (perhaps coincidentally) a Greek god.

Druh,
9 is a salad component. 12 is a double definition.13 there have been hints below as to the meaning of Seaman (I thought it might be Popeye but it’s not!).
6d btw is a straight anagram which may open things up for you.

Hi all. Found this harder than of late. Very enjoyable; loved 3D and the clever (& misdirecting) 14D.
Stuck though on 13A despite the forum's hints. I'm assuming it's a football reference.
Any further hints welcome.
I hope everyone's well.

barryc, 13 parses as 2 ("leave"), 1 (A), 3 ("rest"). Defn. "Seaman perhaps" (sic), should have the capital "S".
