After a sluggish start…good progress with only 13A taking a while to solve. 3D was definitely a smile raiser. Still not sure which way to spell 7D….

Great Everyman. Just the right level for me on a Sunday morning.

Just noticed I forgot to fill in 13 on the first pass.
Drew a blank for several minutes, feared DNF but the penny finally dropped.
Quite a good clue, should have considered it for COD though I still prefer 3. I vaguely recall being fooled by a very similar clue/solution once before.

FOI 1a, LOI 13.

Almost finished but am drawing a blank on 14d. I have -a-h-e- but I may have incorrect crossers.

Being a civil e******r I enjoyed 3d and agree for it being the CoD.

I think I have 13a correct, did not enjoy that moment against Brazil, thanks for the reminder, hope that does not repeat against Finland although Pickford had his own moment - another Greek connection.

So - a hint for 14d please.
