Hello all.
Got through this without too much stress, but inclined to agree with some of the comments. It is not so much the difficulty of Paul's offerings - they have always been challenging. Rather, his cross-referencing has become too complex, and the very long anagrams make for somewhat nonsensical surface reads. He can write brilliantly simple clues - his recent "Area gets TV" was a classic. More of them please!

Enjoyed it, I do like a Paul crossword though some parsing still eludes me. My COD was 8/10/24, Fatal Attraction very scarey film.
(BTW thanks to Jono and Brendan for the steer on abbreviations/ acronyms, forgot to offer gratitude, which is rude.)

Late start ,my younger son is here from Australia. I have a love/ hate relationship with Paul and this was definitely not loved.
Agree with comments @63 by Buzzybee he is very clever , why over complicate things . Needed help from the forum this week so thanks to everyone . Although 11/12 is not my favourite actor I have to acknowledge brilliant clue .

Nearly there but stuck on 22a & 22d. 22d I have a word which might mean purple, ending in 2 for personal papers, but can't get n"light skimmed" unless we're talking about a brand of marge?

The across: I have **o*m*, first might be F, but can't think of an actor or parse the wordplay.

Foi was 7a, loi one of these two.

Hi Pam,

22a - 3 letter "winning cry" (think bullfighter) goes around 3 letter "as well" - definition is themed

22d - 6 letter "light" minus its first letter/.skimmed' + 2 letter "personal documents" - definition is a flower but I don't know what colour, Google says they come in many and Chambers doesn't mention 'purple' so...
