Thanks Phil10000, but my initial guess was two words for the answer after I’d worked it out, but that would mean 21d ended in ‘g’, which was not my thought for that clue!

Well maybe I’ve lost it.
Ok, putting it out there that I thought 18d had to be Salerno (place in the Med) reading across the French, which gave me the ‘r’. So presumably that’s the wrong answer?

Ruby - G is right, as is your two word answer, I imagine.

Ruby - I think there's confusion as 23 and 25 are both 10 letter answers. All the letters you gave are correct for 23A (ie your 18D is correct), but of course it's a single 10 letter word you're looking for there.
