Nicola dawn, agree, 26 was also my LOI, even though “Man” is on my list of words to be immediately suspicious of!

Thanks Jono. Two of the greatest hiddens I've ever seen in that Quiptic! I don't understand how 'current' gives I, though (13D). Any ideas ?

You need to recall your o level physics. Ohm’s law…
V=IR where I is electrical current.

I have solved 12 clues which I’m pretty chuffed with.

All the other clues are gibberish to me.

Can I ask for some hints with 3a and 10a please?

I am ashamed to say that I don’t know 9a, even though I have R?C?

Ahh. O level physics was a complete mystery to me. Got a B. I've still no idea how.

Druh - you're looking for a synonym for clairvoyance, foresight, etc. that can be split in two - 3, 6. If you put a hyphen between the two parts, you'll get a description of the Dark Ages.

3a parses 3,7. The definition is clairvoyance and the reference to the dark ages just means a very long time ago.

10a a six letter word for infernal and a two letter abbreviation for the exercise you did at school. Then one letter for time inserted and one letter for son at the end.

9a loud generally indicates f (from forte). So a word for dress with the f removed.

10A Definition is 'these could be positive (or negative)'. The rest of the clue is a bit too complicated to provide hints, but try swearing (mildly). That might help!

Twisted myself in knots for a while in the top right by assuming very early that 4d included "des" as plain text around a "1?" pound note, giving a perfectly plausible answer for "tells one".
