The ‘hinted at’ phrase in 25a is well known in publishing and screenwriting. Perhaps a bit niche though.

I'm one of those who found this relatively easy for Everyman but I still enjoyed it a lot. Despite all the discussion, I'm not totally convinced that I have 25a.

FOI 2d, LOI 25a, COD 12a.

I’ve really enjoyed the last couple of Everymans. I agree with the comments about 25a which was my LOI.
FOI was 1d.
Particularly enjoyed 1a, 4d, 7d and 22d, in common with a few of us.

25a. Spoiler alert… don’t do this unless you want to see the answer, but if you look at the Wikipedia page for “screenwriting” what I believe to be the intended reference is explained.

Again, not easy for me.

I have solved 9 clues so far.

Could someone please give some hints for 1a, 9a and 12a?

I have no idea how to approach the clues.
