Ulcer or boil is the definition. Copied straight out of Chambers.

Out walking dogs. Two separate words for the definition did actually delay me for some time. Double bluff? Ho hum...

Snowwhite, 8 is rather tortured parsing, a Paul trademark.

Parses as 4 ("rotten") followed by a repeated 4 ("scum done over") separated by a 1 ("taken apart by a").

Defn. is "big gun" (slang).

Hi everyone

This was hard. First read through only produced two answers. I checked in on the forum about 3.00pm, which helped me get quite few more including the unknown to me 8d and 24ac. I have three left:
1ac for which I have ??R?C?
9ac I just have the last letter, and
1d for which I have ????L?E

I can't quite see the definitions. I'm taking a break to get the washing in and maybe I'll get some PDMs.

1a is a truly awful (though quite funny) homophone about how an archetypal welshman might feel after a night out.
letters correct for 1d. it reads upwards; def transfer
9a is a bit of a cheat, as 2 letters are removed from "a film"

I should have noted far upthread that both homophones might be difficult for solvers outside the UK. Especially 1a.

First time poster - completed the puzzle but can't for the life of me parse 19 down. Any hints?
