So, having just picked up my tablet and gone to the app and finding it not there, then going to this forum, I'm assuming if I don't buy the paper I can't do this. I'm in Belfast away from printers and such like. So I'm disappointed Guardian because my sub should give me access to the crossword on a Saturday and not have to buy it all over again.

I know only part of the link lights up in blue and if you just click that it wont work so make sure to copy and paste the whole thing.

OK, I have all that set up. I never use exel on this device. How do I insert the letters? If I highlight a cell I'm not getting my keyboard to insert text.

OK. Throwing in the towel. Thanks for everyone's efforts but I can't make this work. Flying to B on Wednesday so they'd better not do this to me again next week.

Sorry Rocky, I got it work on my laptop in about 30 seconds but, like you, I've been trying for the past hour to get it work on my phone but I just cannot find a way to add text into the empty boxes.

You're welcome to use this. I built it for my own use but it should work on any device (I think). It's just the grid, you will have to read the clues from the pdf.

Difficult difficult, lemon difficult. I'm afraid an hour's scratching has only yielded 10 solutions so I'm throwing the towel in early.

I'm afraid no common device has leapt out at me and certainly nothing that makes solving this any easier. I take my hat off to the brain-boxes who are able to do these types of puzzles.
