Mmmm.
Not a fan of counting through clues and nearly gave up as I do not submit.
Persisted though and the denouement was (possibly) worth it.
This puzzle may have been more challenging to set than to solve.

20a Ignore the capitals in the def and change the middle one ('foot' human or animal) the 'summer' is adding and the Queen is a single letter.
32d Change the 'f' in '(to) disarray' for 'l(iberal) to get a planetary surface feature.

I have full grid, dedicates and link all fine, but my message is nonsense? It starts S F...which isn't hopeful. And grid entry 23 must give two letters as it has two answers and clues? Where am I going wrong.

Lumen - apologise if obvious but phrase is derived from first all across then all down clues. After the initial S the next letter is from 11Ac.
