I had the answer for 20ac, but couldn't parse it (like so many of the solutions). I have now got 14d - not a word I've ever come across before.

Thanks for your clarifying 19d. I'll have another go at that and my remaining other two. I can't think of a single comedian off hand!

24d - Isn't a comedian, it's a 5 letter generic term for one with OK removed and a mathematical abbr. for "eccentricity" inserted - definition is a synonym for "make a sarcastic comment" or boo or hiss, etc.

19d - You'll definitely know the singular of "options for study" with the answer just being the plural.

I got 19d just after posting, which helped me get 21ac and then the penny dropped for 24ac which is my LOI. Again I had guessed this answer several times, but couldn't see why.

I can go to bed and face my friend tomorrow, who, no doubt, found it easy.

So, I can say I've finished, but with a lot of help from the Forum.

Finally finished late last night thanks to help from forum. A mixture of clever clues and some difficult ones with obscure meanings / parsing. Pangakupu will not be added to my list of favourite compilers even though his/ her homeland is one of my favourite countries.

Blimey, Usually wait till about Tuesday before visiting forum and posting and only if stuck. Last few weeks I have been absent due to finishing without help.

This week is opposite, only got one without help so thank you you lot for helping me progress.

Still ABIT stuck but am going to leave for now due to headache.
