Rocky, I posted a spoiler to 14 @25.

In 9, "do" and "German" are anagrist for the final 8 letters. The first four letters are "party" (syn).

Come to think of it, 14 could have been composed as a Pauline clue: 5 letters inside a scatological 4 letters. 🤣

Competition between crossword and cricket today, so far cricket is winning, much more exciting than this difficult one from Picaroon. Two answers in so far!!

Finally all done. Thanks Picaroon. Tough but clever clues and enjoyable. A few words and phrases I'd not heard of but I'll know next time.
