I'm not sure I see the relevence of the rhyme - isn't there an exra item inside here?

I'm beginning to wonder if we're discussing 'items' and 'pairs' in the same way - I've gone for 8 'artworks' with some overlaps.

Yes I still had overlap - trust common sense will prevail with the marking but my view was that thought that the preamble was pointing towards keeping the pairs together

I'm still trying to visualise how the lowest pair looks in your design, candledave (as a single artwork with an overlap?).

Just a single artwork - oddly shaped item I admit!

I meant there was an overlap between two of my items (higher up)

We don’t submit, just enjoy the challenge.
What we do have is 3 separate artworks, comprising 2 x 2 elements and 1 x 4 elements. The elements overlap within each artwork. If too explicit, please delete.

The individual elements of my 8 'artworks' are uniform - they look like the 2nd word of the instruction.
I think this is one of the oddest discussions I've ever had regarding Listener endgames (and not one I would have expected}.

I’ve now talked myself into four “artworks,” although I’m not entirely convinced. I think the whole notion of pairing might have a particular thematic meaning. Who knows?

Either way I’m thought too much about it so am just going to go with something and put it in the post this morning.
