Thank you Craft. What a lovely puzzle! Second part of the reminder was straightforward, but the first part took us longer. The preamble, as usual, was unambiguous as to where to go.

As usual, I am stuck a few paces behind you. Everything is tickety-boo apart from the first part of the instruction. Hoping for a PDM pronto.

This is frustrating, I have a full grid and extra word message plus the second part highlighting but, for the life of me, I cannot see how to apply the first part to an unclued entry. I think I'll sleep on it and look again with fresh eyes ....

After sleeping on it a strategy for resolving the first part of the instruction made it quite straightforward. Thank you Craft.

Brendan, the key word in the preamble is “other”. This will point to the appropriate entry.

I seem to be in the opposite position than others in completing this. I have the two-part reminder, I've applied the first part creating seven new words, but cannot fathom out what the second part refers to. There are quite a number of devious clues in this puzzle which I could only back solve once I knew what the reminder was.

Just a couple if observations. Firstly, this would be a hard theme for non UK residents. Secondly, the IQ puzzle seems to be consistently harder than the Listener. The puzzles today are illustrate my point.

May I ask, what is the IQ puzzle? (This Yank has never heard of it ) Is it available with a subscription online somewhere?
