In the message I have t before c in the first word - where does the real c or t come from?

From Wiki entry........Welsh: 'Ardent lord', from udd (lord, prince) + ris (ardent, enthusiastic, impulsive).

c comes from Not quite ready and t from Brick no longer [i think]

I was unable to get a copy of the times on New Years Day. Does anyone still have a copy of the Listener Crossword for that day?

Skyblue.... I can't do links, but I can direct you to the puzzle! Use the Search box on the Forum - go to Listener 4690 and look at the second post on the thread.

I think it is listener 4692 that was the one published new years day.

Yes, Skyblue... and you can get that from where I sent you. If you click on the link, the most recent puzzle is listed, but there's also 'Old'. If you click on that and scroll your way down all the numbers, 4692 is there.
