HI MPRS.

I know I'm on to a loser here as both you and Geeker are in the US so are always going to say "math" - what a cosmopolitan lot we are:-)

Correction, 10 was in Friday's Guardian 28,607 by Philistine.

Brendan, it’s early still. The US participants don’t usually outnumber the Brits.

Hi all,
I have been busy so have only just got to this.
Took me ages to get started, apart from 10a, but then everything fell out nicely. I am starting to think there is a third characteristic of Everyman and that is having a “foreign” clue using another language - this week it is 25a.
I agree that 17a is missing a vowel unless uniform is describing the shape of the first letter.
I liked the misdirection in 12d.

Fun crossie . Needed google for 9a but otherwise straightforward . What to do with remaining 17.5 hours of day (as in UK) is next problem .Have a good day and a good solve to all .

Just to add to the cosmopolitan nature - it is a lousy afternoon in this part of NZ.

There appears to be a Nina-like coincidence reading down the 8th column. I'll dismiss the idea of a Nina because only one clue would fit with the implied theme.
Interesting that two solutions share a 4-letter Latin prefix.

A third solution starts with the same 4 letters, but one is shifted. ..

That can't be a coincidence - can it?
