Thanks to Geeker's opening compliments regarding this week's Everyman, I decided to return as I had not been bothering for many weeks due to my dislike of too many clues.
Well. Chapeau ! to the setter for this week's enjoyment.
I am not sure whether this is the same setter.
Wit and humour in many places, and every clue had good surface-reading and parsed well.
I am familiar with Skippers who visit my garden every year !
I will accept the "primarily" clue as it was &Lit also.

A return to form after last week's puzzle. Took me a while. I think 14D should be 1 word?
