No that was the Prize from yesterday... second time I made that mistake!

East End is the homophone indicator, think of My Fair Lady. Variations of that come up a lot (cockney, Londoner's, Eastenders, etc.)

Very enjoyable puzzle, thanks Everyman. No one else has commented on the link between 1d and the second word of 1a! I liked 12a, 26a and 1d but COD is 8d which is amusing as well as clever. LOI 21d as I had to check my answer was right.
