Hi PS,

19a - 3 letter "stroke" reversed/"the wrong way" then/"by" 2 letter "Everyman" + 2 letter "sore at each end" - definition is "cat"

5d - 2 letter "about" + 5 letter "coastal inlet" - definition is "echo"

I have 13D now! 8D, 19A still to go

Never heard of that for a coastal inlet! Chambers set me right though.

Just 8D then now... shame it's not tissue then :( I'm sure I'll work it out.

Still not very sure about 4D, can't parse 15A either, they look correct though.

I have pencilled something in for 8D and I'm going to bed ;)

4D, 15A and 8D are the clues I'm not really grokking though.

Harder than yesterday perhaps (although it took me a lot less time)

Bit funny about 1d: I played the game with a puck for years, but the version with ball never occurred to me. Despite the answer being a write-in. 😭

8d's parsing confused me for a while. Consider the usage of "accent" as applied to an earlier word in the clue.

Ah I see... I had the first word ending with D instead of the correct answer.

I can't parse 13D either! I know it's correct! The half looks very arbitrary anyway... and there's letters left over I'm too tired/drunk to work out

13d - Single letter A from the clue + 6 letter "discolouration's" around/'covering' 3 letter "half of "saucer" - definition is "discovers".
