Chris and Jon, you raise an interesting point. I think of “about “ in the same way. It can indicate reversal or containment, or even be “c” or “ca.” Similarly, over could also be “o” as it is in 17. I think it’s all part of the challenge.

I've finally finished after googling "Jodie on Top Gear" a programme I wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

I'm not sure how to parse my answer for 7ac, but it will have to do.

My FOI was a doubtful 16ac, my COD is 23d

I can't find the telly pages in the new format, but no doubt there will be something to watch later in the Scandi noir slot on BBC4

7A parses as 1 + 5(anag) + 1

I noticed in the weekend's birthdays on page 9 that the model is 43 today and the author is 60 tomorrow. Coincidence?

11D is an anagram of 2 words in the clue followed by a 2 letter journalist.

Definition is "beaten". Anagram of "as spurs" and the usual two letter abbreviation for a journalist.

11d my COD for the predictive nature of the last part of the clue , hopefully. NLD today.
