All discussions will take place on this thread. Gentle hints to clues may be given, as may VERY GENTLE hints to the theme. Absolutely no answers to be revealed here.

Thanks as always, malone and tatters.
On first looks, it seem like this puzzle can go in any of six directions and I'm far from sure that "smoothly" is at the top of the list...

Malone, as the two usual threads are now posted, I’ve deleted the thread headed Listener. I thought it would confuse too many people if I left it in.

Thanks, Norah. I reported it/myself a little while ago, hoping you'd dispose of it!

Looks pretty complicated at first glance. Hoping the clueing is a bit on the gentle side to make up for that.

mprs - your wish is fulfilled: most clues are more easily solved than is usual with Poat (doubtless deliberately so in view of the lack of help from crossing entries). The only one I'm stuck with is 5 which, somewhat against Listener rules, seems to have 2 unches in a 4-letter light. However interpreting the message from the special lights is not all that helpful at first blush.

Does anyone else think there's a misprint in the clue to 27?

Don't think so. The def means "projecting parts" which fits all right.

Found the grid fill on the tough side but some enjoyable touches. Set myself off on a wild goose chase with the end game but got there finally

An enjoyable workout - thanks Poat
