Brilliant, Quisling, thanks for the links, I look forward to viewing them all.

As for getting the names the wrong way round, well it was nearly 50 years ago.

Another classic was Margaret Thatcher praising Willie Whitelaw, he was by her side at the time when she said “Every Prime Minister needs a Willie”.

Apparently she had no sense of humour and didn’t realise the significance of her words.

Chris, Norah and Quisling,

I think you'd all enjoy this week's Inquisitor (IQ1763),- the message spelled out by corrections to misprints is very much in the same ……………. Note by Admin - Now you’ll all have to wonder because, at Brendan’s request, I have amended his post

Thanks for the tip, brendan, but I only attempt "solve, then write answer in" puzzles, not ones where you have to muck around with the solution first!

Brendan, it can't be 'too early to be more specific' when you've revealed so much already!

The most famous one was Agnew and Johnson "Botham fails to get his leg over"....

I can't agree with you there Malone, there is literally zero chance anyone could work out the hidden message from my post. All it implies is that it's an unfortunate and jocular sentence, of which there must be millions, but, if anyone disagrees. I'm more than happy to ask Norah to remove it.

Malone, no, I'm only about half way through the puzzle but was able to work out the message from the letters I have but, like I say, I've asked Norah to remove it anyway.

Thanks, Brendan, it just seemed odd to see such crucial words mentioned...
