An attempt at rewriting 22d, I’m sure others can do better...

Morning all
FOI 1a, LOI 12a

At the moment 12a is my COD, however the parsing of 13d and 25a haven't yet clicked for me

25a: replace the tat in ‘hit a toff’. It becomes a click.

13d: anagram or mixed version of ‘the rags’

I'm with Warden on 13 25 and I can't see 18 as well. Tx Mathi for 6 agree with yevrah on it. 12 is my COD, once I parsed it, it ruined the NW corner for me because I inked in a different compound.

Sorry, I mixed up the clues 13d and 25a in my previous reply.

Hi Fop, Hi Warden,

18d - 3 letter abbr. for "arrived" + single letter for "a little isthmus" in(side) "Med" - definition is "took the plunge".

25a - Is very clever - the second word in the answer is an indicator of what to do with "the rags".

13d - If you replace the last 3 letter word of the answer where they occur in "hit a toff" with the first 3 letter word you get a phrase meaning "click".

18d: three letter shorter version for ‘arrived’ + one letter for ‘little isthmus’ inside ‘med’.

Tx Brendan Mathi an Phil for 13 - its a beauty.
Still having a problem with the 2nd word in 25. 2 words, differing by a single letter, fit. Are both of them anagram indicators? The one that makes most sense to me as an anagram indicator makes less sense in the solution than the other.

I see what you mean, fop, but one doesn't fit the definition - the other is quite a common anagram indicator.
